Hello!

I’m Asherah Weiss (uh-SHARE-uh), a community artist, educator, and creative mentor with a deep commitment to social-emotional wellness and inclusive creative practice.

My work is grounded in the belief that creativity helps people reconnect — with themselves, with one another, and with their sense of possibility. Through teaching, facilitation, and community-based artmaking, I support people in moving beyond fear, limitation, and isolation, using creativity as a tool for confidence-building, meaning-making, and collective change.

I specialize in creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where people feel supported in exploring creativity, regardless of prior experience. For those who don’t identify as artists, I emphasize process over product and curiosity over perfection, making room for experimentation, play, and personal discovery.

I hold a California teaching credential in Visual Art and have taught grades k–12 in a variety of educational and community settings. My experience also includes facilitating intergenerational groups and working with adults, including elders with dementia. Artistically, my practice spans visual art, improvisational movement, theater, and interdisciplinary approaches, as I am always growing as a life-long learner.

Please see my CV for more details, and thank you for exploring my work.
